The Scaliger Castle of Sirmione is a fortress from the Scaliger era, serving as the entrance to the historic center of Sirmione. It is one of the most complete and best-preserved castles in Italy, as well as a rare example of a lakeside maritime fortification.

The complex known as the Grottoes (or Thermal Baths) of Catullus is located at the northern tip of the Sirmione peninsula, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. From this unique position, visitors can enjoy a splendid panoramic view that encompasses both the Veneto and Lombardy shores of the lake.
This spectacular archaeological site preserves the remains of a Roman villa, making it the most magnificent example of a private noble residence in all of Northern Italy.

Sirmione is famous for the unique charm of its historic center, with its narrow and irregular streets, for the Thermal Baths of Catullus, for the churches of Santa Maria Maggiore and San Pietro in Mavino, and for the ruins of the Roman villa of the poet Catullus, known as the Grotto of Catullus.

On Lake Garda, every corner tells a story. Ancient ruins, majestic castles, and elegant villas blend with fortresses and caves that narrate centuries of human history. Adding to these historical treasures are breathtaking landscapes: olive groves, lemon orchards, palm trees, and oleanders frame the lake, creating a natural tableau that captivates at every turn. Wherever you choose to go, Lake Garda will welcome you with a perfect balance of culture, nature, and timeless beauty.
